Welcome to the Kingsport Family YMCA’s Elementary Program Guide! Our programs are designed to help kids in grades K–5 learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment. Whether it’s after school, on the weekends, or during breaks, we offer fun, engaging opportunities that encourage creativity, build confidence, and keep kids active. At the Y, we’re here to support your child’s development while helping them build friendships and discover new interests along the way.

Get messy and creative in this fun, hands-on slime-making class! Each week, kids will mix up different types of slime while learning simple science in a gooey, colorful way. Come ready to stretch, squish, and explore!

Let your imagination shine in Creative Hour! Kids will explore fun, hands-on crafts using paint, paper, glue, and more. Each session brings a new project designed to spark creativity, build fine motor skills, and encourage self-expression. Perfect for young artists who love to make and create!

Take a well-deserved break while your kids have a blast at the Y! Parents Night Out is a fun-filled evening designed just for kids—packed with games, crafts, gym time, and more—while you enjoy a night out for yourself. Whether you’re planning a date night or catching up with friends, you can relax knowing your child is in a safe, engaging environment with caring YMCA staff. Come play while the parents get away!

KITCHEN CREATIONS - MONTHLY

Young chefs get hands-on in the kitchen as they learn to make fun recipes in this interactive cooking class. Kitchen Creations teaches basic cooking skills, kitchen safety, and nutrition in a fun, age-appropriate way—perfect for kids who love to mix, stir, and explore new foods!
