School's Out Days

When school is out, the Y is in! Our School's Out Days offers a safe, fun, and engaging full-day program for children in grades K-8 during most scheduled school holidays, teacher in-service days, parent/teacher conferences and seasonal breaks.  Our experienced staff provide a structured, caring environment where kids can learn, grow, and have a blast with new and old friends. Single School’s Out Days are held at the Greater Kingsport Family YMCA. Week-long breaks will be held at a designated school for each school system. These locations will be posted in each school system’s schedule and registration below as they become available.

A School’s Out Day includes:

• Structured group games and activities
• Creative arts and crafts
• Individual free play  
• Outdoor playtime (weather permitting)
• A healthy breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack provided by the Y Feeding Program
• Flexibility to register for only the days you want during seasonal breaks

Program Details:

• Hours:  7:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
• Who:    Grades K-8
• Cost:    $25/Day (Member Rate); $30/Day (Non-Member Rate)
• What to bring: A refillable water bottle and weather-appropriate clothing.
