Inclement Weather Policy:

Programming:  When Kingsport City Schools are closed due to inclement weather, the Greater Kingsport Family YMCA will not operate morning programming, including AM Child Watch, Adventure Kids, Group Exercise, and all scheduled member programs. Afterschool programming and outreach programs will be cancelled when school systems are out for inclement weather. Decisions regarding evening programming at the Y will be made no later than 2:00 pm, with any facility or schedule changes communicated as soon as possible via our website, social media, mobile app, and email.

Facility Operations:  The Greater Kingsport Family YMCA will make every effort to remain open during inclement weather but the decision to delay opening, close early or close for the day will be made after careful consideration of road conditions for the safety of members, program participants, and staff.   24/7 access will remain available during closures, unless power is not available to the building.
