Greater Kingsport Family YMCA Kicks off Week of Giving

The Greater Kingsport YMCA’s Week of Giving is an opportunity for the YMCA’s members and community to become partners in the YMCA’s effort to influence generations through the Annual Giving Campaign. Throughout the week of April 24th through 29th, the YMCA will be partnering with different community partners and organizations to provide services to the community and their members. The YMCA hopes to raise $25,000 by the end of the week to support YMCA programs offered at no cost to participating community members.
Celebrating Afterschool Professionals at the YMCA!

Bank of Tennessee Staff Volunteer at Kingsport YMCA Feeding Kitchen

KINGSPORT, TN—Thursday, February 23, 2023- Staff from the Bank of Tennessee volunteered their time and talents at the Kingsport Family YMCA Feeding Kitchen to prep and package 349 meals for delivery to kids in the YMCA’s 22 Afterschool sites and 5 Y on Wheels sites.
YMCA Brighter Horizons Youth Center Extends Family Services

To improve services and increase accessibility to families, the YMCA Brighter Horizons Youth Center will offer Parent Workshops throughout the year that focus on education and skill building.
Eastman Credit Union (ECU) committed to increasing accessibility to resources, programs, meals and child care to families in under-served communities in Kingsport through a $35,000 pledge over 5 years for a 2018 Nissan NV Passenger SL van.
Bids For Kids silent auction to benefit youth outreach programs

The Kingsport Family YMCA is hoping to raise needed funds for their youth outreach programs, which provide needed services and assistance to underserved kids and families in our communities, through an online Bids For Kids Silent Auction from Monday, November 28 – Sunday, December 4.
The YMCA Brighter Horizons Youth Center received a $2,500 donation from the Appalachian Federal Credit Union after the director spoke at the Hawkins County Chamber of Commerce breakfast about what the YMCA and the center do for the community.
