Before/After School Care
Our program challenges the imagination, stimulates creativity, encourages self-directed initiative, and promotes character development. Opportunities for learning by discovery, through active child centered experiences that are fun, are also part of the program. YMCA staff are trained to help children set limits and develop their own self-control. They are counselors to the children, developing friendships that promote trust, sharing, and openness. Staff encourage independence in the children by helping them learn the skills needed for cooperation and problem solving. The YMCA wants to help children develop to their fullest potential.
