Like all YMCA camps, HYPE (Helping Youth Pursue Excellence) Camp provides a safe, nurturing camp experience. Our goal is to provide your teens and tweens with the summer of a lifetime through activities that foster self confidence, teamwork, and of course, FUN! During the camp day, campers will participate in activities which keep them learning new things. Whether your camper's interest is crafts, science, group games, STEM, sports, or reading, we’ve got them covered.
This summer is all about finding your SQUAD! HYPE at Sevier is filled with cool and exciting activities and trips, so your middle schooler (rising 6th-9th grader) won’t feel like they’re in a day camp. They’ll be in a safe atmosphere where they can thrive with positive, fun, and energetic role models. A healthy lifestyle will also be emphasized through traditional games, sports, and activities. The goal is to keep these tweens and teens active by involving them in weekly service learning and leadership experiences.
HYPE Campers get to swim one day a week, go on a weekly field trip, participate in a weekly service learning project, and have one snack and a sack lunch each day (lunch not provided Week 1).

C.I.L.T. (rising 10th-12th)
The Counselor in Leadership Training program provides teens with a hands-on learning experience that can make an incredible impact on younger campers, while offering teens the opportunity to cultivate their leadership skills and knowledge in the camp setting.
The C.I.L.T. program is designed for teenagers who are highly motivated and who demonstrate the ability to accept additional responsibilities that come with the challenges of leadership. If you have a high school student who loves kids, this would be a valuable opportunity to build their resume and college application early! All applications should be received at the Y by April 15th.
