Becoming a member of the Y doesn't mean you have a membership to a "gym", it means that you get to be a part of a great cause. Becoming a member of the Y means that you get to share a commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility in our community. We'll be right there alongside you, making sure that you, your family, and community have the support and means to LEARN, GROW, and THRIVE.

In addition to the friendly members and staff, it's also important to have effective and safe equipment on your healthy living journey. Two wellness areas are available with Cardio equipment, weight machines, free weights and a stretching area. The gym is also available for basketball and volleyball.

Stuck in a work out rut? Try something new!

Group Ex classes are the perfect way to make new friends and experiment with different work out routines. With Kickboxing, Yoga, Barre, Zumba and Dance, Cycle and more we are sure to offer a class that is the right fit for you! Check out our Group Ex page HERE to learn more!

Do you prefer to spend some time in the gym?

The Y's gymnasium is a full regulation size court and is below the indoor suspended track. You might prefer the gym over the wellness areas to engage in activity such as basketball or volleyball. Don't forget to check out the schedules for the Gym (volleyball, basketball, open shooting, full-court basketball, youth times, child watch times etc.) and Group Exercise classes for more fitness options!

Looking for a new way to get a great full body work out? Try swimming!

Our partnership with the Kingsport Aquatic Center allows all of our members full access to their multiple pools, including the region’s only indoor Olympic-size, 8-lane, 50-meter, multipurpose pool. Swimming is a great way to burn calories, and have a cardio workout that is easy on the joints. Swimming is even proven to increase heart and lung function! What's not to love?
