Motivation and accountability are at the core of personal training. No matter where you are starting - our nationally certified personal trainers are instructors who meet you where you are and challenge you to reach YOUR next level. Everyone is different, which calls for different styles of working out. Are you just beginning? Have you reached a plateau? Do you want a specific type of training?

Your trainer will tailor your plan specifically to you and what you need. Whether you are looking for accountability, partnership, motivation, expertise, or all of the above - we have the trainer for you!

Individual training sessions are available, in addition to partner training, trio training and now Small Group training (4-8 participants)!. Our trainers want to help you achieve your personal next level. This is more than a gym, we want to transform all aspects of your life!

Jump 2 Fit

Summer is almost over, but any season is the right one to get some extra help getting on the right track with your wellness. The Y is making it easy for you to "jump in" to a healthy lifestyle with Personal Training. 

Back by popular demand, during August ONLY, purchase a Jump 2 Fit package of either three 60 minute or three 30 minute personal training sessions and save over $40 per package! (Once a Jump 2 Fit package has been purchased, client must complete all sessions within 4 weeks.)

SMALL GROUP TRAINING

Do you like an interactive setting but prefer a small group? Are you looking for motivation, support, and accountability? Then Small Group Training may be for you! This style of training brings together the knowledge of a nationally certified trainer with the energy and camaraderie of a group. Small Group Training is affordable while providing a supportive, energetic atmosphere to help you achieve your goals. Workouts will be designed based on your group’s goals and needs.

Small Group Training utilizes some of the following to ensure success:

  • Bodyweight Drills
  • Functional Movement with medicine balls, kettle bells, battle ropes, plyo boxes, sand bags, etc.
  • TRX® Training

We are a mother and daughter who participated in the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program and now participate in the personal training program. We train together twice a week with Juanita, which allows us to spend good quality time together. Amanda also trains solo on Fridays. Our current weight loss in the program: Sharon – 42 lbs. Amanda – 63 lbs. and counting!

-Why did you choose personal training?
Amanda: I didn’t have confidence exercising by myself. It was more of a security blanket to have someone to show me what to do.
Sharon: My children had personal trainers for a few years and I saw the positive results in their lives. My husband bought me some sessions for Christmas. I wanted to invest in myself.

-How have you benefitted from personal training?
Amanda: I have become stronger, not only physically, but emotionally. I have more confidence in myself and am able to go to the Y and do my own thing.
Sharon: It’s empowering. I thought I knew general weight lifting and exercise techniques, but actually learning how to do it correctly in order to prevent injury and achieve lasting results is enlightening. Juanita was one of my Diabetes Prevention Program coaches and she knew my goals and how to achieve them.

-What would you say to someone considering personal training?
Amanda: It’s really beneficial because you learn how to use the equipment properly. Juanita helped me to not only become stronger and fit, but also to be more confident. She nurtures you and helps you grow into the beast you can become!
Sharon: For those new to exercise, it’s a way to get started, motivated and on-track. Juanita knows when to push you and when to throttle-back. She’s more than a trainer. She has become a part of our family and is an essential part of why we have had so much success!
